Vauxhall has enjoyed great success in the British Touring Car Championship. In 1989 the Astra was consistently dominant in the 2 litre category, and John Cleland went on to win the overall Championship that year due to the class structure rules.
This film picks up from when the Cavalier took over from the Astra, and embarked on terrific racetrack success. It is this era our viewers just loved the close racing between all the manufacturers, as well as the competitiveness between the grid of drivers who rapidly became household names.
